MTech Project Work Under DAAD-IIT Master Sandwich Program at ITA-RWTH Aachen University.

My project goal was to develop a recycling process for polyacrylonitrile (PAN) containing textile waste. A recycling process has successfully been developed by using dimethyl sulphoxide(DMSO) as a solvent for different types of PAN waste. Then the recycled PAN and pure PAN have been used to produce PAN fibre using the wet-spinning method. And the fibre properties have been analysed and reported.

MSc Project Work at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (Calcutta University) (Jan'16 - May'16).

My aim was to synthesise a nanophosphor material for enhanced light emission. A nanophosphor has been successfully synthesised by using strontium aluminate and some other co-dopant material using the well known hydrothermal process. The luminescence of the synthesised material has been checked by FLS 980 spectrometer and a significant amount of emission that can be used for LED application has been observed.

Internship at H&R Johnson (INDIA), IPNR Plant, Pen, Mumbai (Oct'13 - Nov'13)

Examined the tile preparation process steps like raw material (sand, different clay, feldspar) refining, master batch preparation mixing different proportions of raw materials, slurry formation using rotary ball mills, powder formation in atomizer, formation of solid plates using hydraulic press, drying of solid plate, burning of solid plates in kiln, ceramic tile polishing, shorting of ceramic plates and quality control.

Also, a project named "Preparation of Polyvinyl Alcohol adding different fillers" under the guidance of Rupam Singh has been completed.
